For stylists
Be the chair she books
after she saves the look.
BLK GLO users save a style first and look for someone who can do it second. That is the moment your listing shows up in. The directory already carries 1,565 hair businesses across 143 cities — yours may be one of them.
The first button opens the BLK GLO app if you have it installed. The app is not in the stores yet, so email is the reliable route today — and yes, it is the founder who replies.

Already listed?
Find your business in the directory
Every city page lists what is there today, and says which listings are unclaimed. Yours is probably one of them.
Claim a listing that is already there
Most listings came from open business data, not from a sign-up — which is why they are marked unclaimed everywhere they appear, and why they cannot be booked. Claiming one turns it into yours.

- 1
Find your listing
Search the directory in the app by your business name and city.
- 2
Tap “This is my business”
The claim form opens pre-filled from the row that is already there, so you are correcting rather than retyping.
- 3
Set your service menu
Each service gets a name, a starting price and a duration. Prices are what clients see, so they are yours to set.
- 4
Booking turns on
The unclaimed label comes off, the Request to Book button appears, and you control your availability.
How bookings and deposits work
A deposit exists for one reason: a no-show costs you a six-hour slot you could have filled. Here is exactly what happens, in order.
- She requests a time — in your time zone
- Slots are resolved in the stylist's own IANA time zone, so a 9 AM in Houston is not offered as a 9 AM to someone in Los Angeles.
- A 30% deposit, through Stripe
- The deposit is 30% of your listed starting price. She has 30 minutes to pay, and the slot is held for exactly that long — someone who closes the payment tab releases it automatically.
- Paying is a request, not a confirmation
- A paid booking arrives as pending and waits for you. You accept it. That is what makes your confirmation mean something — and it means you are never auto-committed to a stranger's calendar.
- Cancellation is a published policy, not a negotiation
- 48 hours or more before the appointment: full deposit refunded. Between 24 and 48 hours: half. Under 24 hours: none. The client sees these tiers before they pay, and the server computes them from its own clock.
- A refund is only called a refund once Stripe issues it
- The app reports the real state — requested, issued, or failed — and surfaces a failure instead of swallowing it.
- Reviews come after the appointment closes
- A client cannot mark their own appointment complete, so nobody can book, never show, and leave you a 'verified' one-star review.
