Find a Stylist

Most of the directory was imported from open business data (Overture Maps, CDLA-Permissive-2.0). Those businesses never signed up, so every one of them is labelled unclaimed — on the card, on the profile, and on this website. An unclaimed listing has no service menu, cannot be booked, and gives you the business's own phone number and website instead.

When a stylist claims their listing and sets their services, the listing becomes bookable and says so. That is the only difference the badge means, and it is the only difference the app claims.

Distance is computed from the location you give the app, and a listing whose coordinates are missing reports no distance at all rather than a confident zero. A business sitting at latitude 0, longitude 0 — the null-island default that open datasets are full of — is rejected outright instead of being shown as the closest salon to you.

Open business data does not say who owns a business, and inferring it from a name or a neighbourhood would be both wrong and insulting. The flag stays off until the owner claims the listing and sets it themselves.
