The breakdown

  • Blonde Curls
  • Curl Volume
  • Tapered Nape

How it is done

  1. 10:28On freshly washed hair with a leave-in conditioner, take a section, detangle it and apply a foaming mousse.
  2. 20:28Wrap the section on a rod, making sure the ends are wrapped on nice and tight.
  3. 30:57On the top, roll the hair partway, then swirl it along the rod instead of over itself so the curl hangs as a spiral.
  4. 41:25Use larger rods if your hair is longer to get more volume.
  5. 51:54When the hair is set, rub a little oil in your palms to prevent frizz and remove the rods.
  6. 62:22In the back, roll the hair over itself on the rod for more volume and height.
  7. 72:22Separate the curls with oiled hands to keep frizz down.
  8. 82:50Pick the hair to hide the parts and add height and volume.
