How it is done

  1. 10:34Start on freshly washed hair stretched without heat by braiding it after washing.
  2. 21:02Parting makes this style: three sections, then subsections, about 11 triangle-style parts in total.
  3. 31:56Part with a parting comb, clean up with a tail comb, and lay the parts with jam instead of edge control to avoid white residue.
  4. 42:25Put a little oil on your elastic bands so they don't tug or break your hair.
  5. 53:22Make five parts at the front, four in the middle and two at the back; twist the ends so they stay tucked in.
  6. 63:50Part the middle triangles from the base rather than the front for clean lines.
  7. 75:42One pack of pre-stretched braiding hair (three bundles) covers about 12 parts.
  8. 86:12Braid the braiding hair onto the base about three times, then wrap it around the base to form the knot.
  9. 98:09If you can't feed in braiding hair, crochet it into each part instead; it is quicker.
  10. 1010:06Snip flyaways, oil the parts, add gold hair rings and lay your edges.
