How it is done

  1. 10:00Start with clean hair that air-dried in six chunky plaits, so it's stretched enough to work with and needs no heat.
  2. 20:28Part from ear to ear into a front half and a back half. Work a few pumps of leave-in conditioner into each section, including the ends.
  3. 30:58Tie up the back half and part the front down the middle. Tie up one side, then split the loose side into rows and section out your first braid.
