The breakdown

  • Auburn Curly Bob Wig
  • Side Part
  • Chin Length

How it is done

  1. 10:00Do the bald-cap method, then apply glue across the hairline, blend it out evenly and let it dry.
  2. 20:47Build up three layers of glue, letting each one dry completely before the next.
  3. 31:15Place the wig from the middle first, then secure the sides. If the wig is too big, cut it shorter and stretch each side so it doesn't gather in the center.
  4. 42:17Comb the lace into the glue and press it in with your fingers, then melt it down with a blow dryer on medium heat.
  5. 52:46Cover the lace with foundation that matches the skin tone, then cut the excess lace right where the glue stops.
  6. 63:47If any spots missed the glue, fill them with a rat-tail comb, again in three fully dried layers.
  7. 75:17Blow-dry the edges on medium heat, spray a melting spray along the hairline, tie it down and sit under the dryer for 15 minutes.
  8. 85:55Hot-comb the hairline flat.
  9. 96:59Cut the baby hairs to length and curl them with a pencil curler. Shape them with gel and a rat-tail comb, then blow-dry to set.
  10. 1010:29Flat-iron the hair and trim the bob line with scissors so it sits clean.
  11. 1111:06Highlight the part with skin-tone foundation, then hot-comb and comb everything into place.
