The breakdown

  • Box Braid Bantu Knots
  • Copper #350 Braids
  • Knotted Crown

How it is done

  1. 10:29Start with box braids already installed; this works with the braids you have in.
  2. 20:44At the top, gather four braids and twist them around themselves like any bantu knot.
  3. 30:59Wrap it tight enough and the knot stays on its own, with no pins or bands.
  4. 41:05For the next knot use three braids and wrap them the same way.
  5. 51:10Push each knot down as you wrap so it stays small and squat instead of sticking out.
  6. 61:27Work around the whole head, using three or four braids for each knot.
  7. 71:35For a half style, stop after the first knots at the top and leave the rest of the braids down.
