The breakdown

  • Long Waves
  • Side Part
  • Length

How it is done

  1. 10:00Apply a strong gel to the natural edges, brush all the hair back, and set it with a blow dryer on medium-warm heat so the edges stay out of the glue.
  2. 20:56Put on a wig cap close to your skin tone (dark brown HD here), pushing as much of it toward the front as possible.
  3. 31:24Cut a tiny hole behind each ear and pull the cap opening over the ear; the cap is thin, so cut very little.
  4. 41:55Rub a low-oil cream foundation, a shade on the darker side, all over the cap so it blends under the lace.
  5. 52:22Spray adhesive just in front of the hairline, tap it in, and dry it with the blow dryer on cool only.
  6. 62:51Apply the same foundation to the underside of the lace, then mist it with a holding spray so the makeup does not transfer.
  7. 73:21Cut the cap only in front of the glued area, leaving the back covered, and trim off any lifted excess.
  8. 84:46Criss-cross the wig’s back bands and hot comb the wig hair back so strands stay out of the glue.
  9. 95:14Put on the wig, trim any cap that shows in front of the lace, and snip the ear tabs so the lace follows your natural hairline.
  10. 106:10Clean the forehead with alcohol, cut small sections in the lace, and apply lace glue in small dots along the hairline.
